One Championship, Two Teams?
“Which team will you be on when the ‘Game of Life’ is over?”
There is only One True Championship in the “Game of Life”, but there are two very different Teams! One of these Teams is the “Winner”, and the other is the “loser”.
Someone once said that, “Teamwork, is a Virtue”. Teamwork, can be better understood when one, closely, observes how a North American Football Team (with all their football padding and football helmets) can Succeed at Winning a “League Championship”. A North American Football Championship Team has an “Owner”, and a “Head Coach” (who can also be the “General Manager”), and “Assistant Coaches”, and “team-players” – all of whom are very much aware of, and dedicated to their Team’s Vision, Mission, Objectives and Core Values. Their Vision, is to Win a “League Championship” at the end of their Football Season. Their Mission, is to play against the other Teams, or Team, in the “League” to the best of their ability, while demonstrating at all times a lifestyle of humility, propriety, “stickability”, and harmony whether on, or off the “Practice Field”, and “Playing Field”! Their Objectives include learning the Play Book “inside-out”, and executing the basic Football Fundamentals of blocking, tackling, passing, catching, and, or running in order to, minimize the number of points their opponents score, and maximize the number of points they score against their opponents, per “Event”. Their Core Values include such Virtues as Teamwork, Respect, Unity and Endurance; and the Greatest of these is Teamwork. In fact, the acronym “T.R.U.E.” can be used to represent the T – Teamwork, R – Respect, U – Unity and E – Endurance that, every human being MUST incorporate into every area of his or her life in order to be a “True Champion”! Some of you, reading this book – or listening to this tape, may have been a Sports Champion in a Team Sport, while others of you may have been a Sports Champion in an Individual Sport. Teamwork must involve at least two people. In some cases, as in an Individual Sport, the Coach and the Athlete make up the Team. Some Individual Sports, such as Track & Field have different Coaches depending on which area of competition each athlete chooses to focus their training and competing. Teamwork is necessary in every situation where there are two or more people that have been given the opportunity and responsibility of completing certain tasks toward the achievement of common goals. Teamwork, between Teachers and Students is necessary in the School Classroom. Teamwork, between Parents and Children is necessary in the Home. Teamwork, between Employer and Employees is necessary in the Workplace. Teamwork, between Caregivers and Patients is necessary in the Hospital. Teamwork, between Ministry Leaders and Ministry Members is necessary in the Worship Place. Opportunities for Teamwork can be found all around us in almost every aspect of our daily lives, and in almost every course of action we choose to follow, which involves two or more people, whether positive or negative. Therefore, every one of you here, in this audience, is a team member of several Teams each and every day. However, how many of those Teams which you are a team member on, in everyday life, have team members who have become team-players on the One True Championship Team in the “Game of Life”? Likewise, How many of you here, truly, have the “heart” to be added in, to the “Winning Team” of the “Kingdom of God”?
I believe that, the “Kingdom of God” can be likened to Team Sports. Having had a background in Team Sports, and an opportunity of being a team-player on Championship Sports Teams, myself, in the past, helps confirm that particular belief. For instance, there was a North American Football Team, which I once played for in my “younger years”, that Succeeded at Winning a “League Championship”. We had an “Owner”; we had a “Head Coach”, who also served as the General Manager; we had “Assistant Coaches” and “team-players” – all of whom were very much aware of, and dedicated to our Team’s Vision, Mission, Objectives and Core Values, which led to our “League Championship” Victory at the end of the season! Without a doubt, the “Kingdom of God” OFTEN reminds me of the roster of that winning Team I once played on before, being added in, to the roster of the “Winning Team” of the “Kingdom of God”!
At this point, you’re probably asking yourself, “how in the World can a North American Football Team which was not even a Famous ‘CFL’ or Famous ‘NFL’ Team be compared to the ‘Kingdom of God’ that is in Earth as it is in Heaven?”: That’s a very good question! Allow me, if you will, to explain my preceding analogy, or “parable”, in Seven Points that will definitely help you see, more clearly, how this comparison of mine is actually quite valid. First, the term “League” that is used in my analogy shows that there are only two Teams in the “League” of “life or death”; one is the “Winning Team”, and the other is the “losing team”. The “Winning Team” includes those people who have, clearly, decided to be added in, to the True “Kingdom of God”, while the “losing team” includes those people that have, clearly, decided to remain of the lousy “kingdoms of the World”! Second, the “Game of Life” refers to a series of “Challenging Events” through which both Teams learn how to, either, Win or lose depending on their own decisions. Third, the True “Kingdom of God” has ONE “OWNER” WHO “IS” THE ONLY CREATOR-RULER of the Universe. Fourth, the True “Kingdom of God” has One “Head Coach”, or General Manager, who is the only King-Priest of the True “Kingdom of God”, forever, in Earth as it is in Heaven. Fifth, the True “Kingdom of God” has “Assistant Coaches” who are “hired” as overseers, bishops, apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors, elders, and, or deacons. Sixth, the True “Kingdom of God” has several “team-players” who are “studying to show themselves approved” every day in order to, eventually, become “hired” as one of the “Assistant Coaches” who “work” for THE TRUE CREATOR-RULER of the Universe through humble cooperation with the King-Priest of the True “Kingdom of God” in Earth as it is in Heaven. Seventh, the term “end of the season” that is used in my analogy refers to the “End of the World”…….Hopefully, you are now beginning to see, more clearly, with your “heart” how it is POSSIBLE for any person, who has the “heart” of a “True Champion”, to be added in, to the True “Kingdom of God”!
A number of years, and months ago, I experienced what was, without a doubt, the worst day of my entire life! It was on that very day, June 5th 2003 that I received a phone call that every parent, absolutely, dreads the very most. It was close to midnight when I was hit with the heart-breaking news that my first-born daughter had been shot and killed at the tender age of 22 years young…………. The following six months that ensued afterward were filled with lots of changing attitudes, which sporadically swung from tremendous anger to excruciating grief. There were moments during those six miserable months when I felt like ending my life because, I felt like my life had already been ended. The kinds of things, which I had once felt were the most important to me before that terrible time, became the very least important to me afterward. After six months of feeling like being in “hell” on Earth, I decided to call a Television “crisis line” for some compassionate prayers. After hearing a few caring individuals, genuinely, pray for me, and after hearing myself pray that “GOD” would give me, and others the strength to continue on in spite of such tragedies, I did not feel like ending my life any more, and I certainly did not feel, any more, like my life was over! If anything, I felt like my life was just beginning. In fact, I felt an overwhelming sense of urgency to live my life to its fullest God-given potential for many long years to come, and help others do the same! I suddenly realized that dwelling on “self-perfection”, or “self-detestation” will not ever allow anyone of us to move forward and upward in our lives after experiencing an enormous adversity as such unless, we thoroughly resolve, and completely let go of these kinds of devastating, past experiences.
If it were somehow possible for me to provide you with some kind of “astute answer” for “sudden success” in life, I would need to present to you some kind of “mysterious magic”, or “mind-bending message”. However, seeing that I do not believe in “magic wands”, or “crystal balls”, hopefully, with your permission you will allow me to proceed with the mutual examination of a Solid Solution for the kinds of critical concerns that we all may have concerning the “life or death” situations we may hear about, or sometimes find ourselves in, within our so-called “Civilized Society”. Optimistically, there are some valuable and valid sources of Comfort that deserve our careful consideration, which we all need to take a pro-active part in. The value of life CANNOT ever be measured in dollars and cents. Many Young People today seem to be losing sight of just how extremely valuable life truly is, and therefore, many Young People in these turbulent times have truly lost their respect for life! Life itself, is all about living and dying, and then living again. How well we have “lived” this “life” depends, entirely, upon how well we intend to “leave” this “life”. Our love for Righteousness and Truth, our love for others, and our love for ourselves, determines the sum total of our resolve to always “live in love” in this “life”, and in the “life hereafter”!
The social evils of today’s “Wild Wide World” are ever increasing at an alarming rate, and threatening to bring the entire human race to complete extinction. Every one of us, whether directly or indirectly, is feeling the hurt or harm from these wretched wrongs. Social evils are plaguing people all around the World, at all times, regardless of age, gender, religion, class, colour, or culture. Nevertheless, children, precious children, are being plagued the most and suffering the worst from the following ten kinds of tragedies. 1, The number of Youth suicides is increasing. 2, and 3, The tallies of Youth prostitution and pornography are on the rise. 4, and 5, The counts of Youth homicides and homelessness are multiplying. 6, and 7, The sums of Youth pregnancies and life-threatening sexually transmitted diseases are mushrooming. 8, The aggregate of Youth cigarette, alcohol and drug abuse is snowballing. 9, and 10, The enumerations of Youth gang-related crime and gang membership are escalating. These are the “Top Ten” Teenage Tragedies within our so-called “Civilized Society” today! When will they ever end? Who is next to be plagued with these kind of senseless atrocities? What are you doing, right now, to stop these kinds of social evils that Young People are experiencing more, and more each day?
My “heart” is on “fire” with a burning desire for the happiness and health of our Youth in these “dismal days” unlike any other desire I have ever felt. Every time I hear or read about another Young Person dead by a “gun shooting”, it reminds me of my young daughter who was shot and killed. I feel an overwhelming sense of urgency, and responsibility to “reach out” to hurting Young People in our Society who are considered to be “underprivileged”, “at risk”, or “disenfranchised”! With each and every day that I am granted to live, by “Loving Grace” and through “living faith”, I have purposed to dedicate my life to what I believe is a “divine-calling”. I would hope that my whole-hearted efforts to continue answering this “Complex Commission” might bring about the kind of transformation, within the “heart” of each and every one of us, that would extend to the “heart” of our local communities, our nation, and our World at large! A transformation that can very well prevent many families from experiencing some, or more, of the horrific tragedies, which befall our cherished children within the “self-centered society” we are living in, each and every minute of each and every day! This much needed transformation must be positive and sustainable, and it must take place inside the “heart” of every member of our society, TODAY!
With respect to this particular book (or tape) of mine, I feel that I have been given an opportunity to present to you what I understand to be the three biggest problems that Young People are facing today. It also provides me with the privilege of offering to you what I believe to be the Greatest Solution toward resolving the kinds of “maniacal mutiny” and “adolescent animosity” found aboard society’s “sinking ship” that continues to, ineffectively, rove the “raging seas” of pathological impropriety. It seems to me that, society’s “sinking ship”, which Young People are quickly buying tickets to get on board for, as if it were their favorite rock concert, is forever floundering within the “woeful waters” of psychological piracy.
Allow me, if you will, to begin with the first biggest problem that Young People are facing today, which is “The Perils of Peer Pressure”! With every form of pressure that comes to us from our peers, no matter what age we might be, there is always some form of “diabolical dare” that accompanies it. A “dare”, in turn, will always involve the acceptance of a “refractory risk”, which inevitably “breeds” unhealthy, and rebellious behaviours. Notwithstanding, our attempts to be someone whom we are not, will always lead to an “identity crisis”, which in turn will always lead to a “futile search” for acquiring approval, and acceptance from the wrong sources!
At the age of 16, I was pressured by my peers into accepting a few dares. Let me tell you, “straight up”, that all attempts, made by me, to succeed in those dares failed miserably. I, either, got “caught up” in all of the “hippety hop” that’s in all the “hoppety hype”, or I just simply “got caught”! Let me assure you, that those “dare devils” who didn’t “get caught” back then, have had many unfortunate mishaps that have certainly “caught up” with them later on, in their life! By, me, making the ill-considered choice to “give in” to some of the peer pressure, during my adolescent years, and accept a few “idiotic taunts”, I ended up losing much of my precious health, and happiness. Unfortunately, I forfeited all of my opportunities in 1970, and 1971 for a “full sports scholarship” to a University in the United States of America. My dream of “making it” to the 1976 “Olympic Games” was crushed. My hopes of singing on a music album, and receiving a music recording contract in 1979 never materialized. My chances of a lengthy Professional Football career in the CFL in 1978 were “cut” much too early, at my own “foolish expense”. There is, absolutely, no doubt in my mind that, anyone who makes the choice to “give in” to the peer pressure of the “streets”, and accept any of its enticing dares and risks will, haplessly, find poor health, poor academic grades, and poor athletic achievement knocking at their door of “frequent failing”. Generally speaking, “giving in” to the peer pressure that comes from the “streets” will produce a poor attitude toward life, for a long period of time!
Allow me to share with you, if you don’t mind, where my closest ten, High School “acquaintances” ended up as a result of each one of them “giving in” to the perils of peer pressure, and accepting the risks of dangerous dares, simply because, they chose to “travel the wrong streets” in life. High School “acquaintance number one” ended up in and out of prison for most of their life. High School “acquaintance number two” ended up being a “pimp” and a “drug-pusher” for most of their life. High School “acquaintance number three” ended up permanently “stoned”, for life, on one of the most dangerous street drugs. Whenever I saw my High School “acquaintance number three”, they always had their mind way up “in the clouds” somewhere. They experienced what was commonly known back then as a “perma-stone”. My High School “acquaintance number three” was never able to come down from that permanent “drug trip”! High School “acquaintance number four” ended up homeless, and on welfare for most of their life. High School “acquaintance number five” ended up committing suicide at an early age, which ended their own life. High School “acquaintance number six” ended up being “hooked” on cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol for the rest of their life. High School “acquaintance number seven” ended up being seriously injured for life in a careless drunk-driving incident, which “disabled” them for life. High School “acquaintance number eight” ended up without a High School education, and therefore, drifted aimlessly, and hopelessly depressed throughout the rest of their life. High School “acquaintance number nine” ended up killing someone, and was later sent to prison, for life. High School “acquaintance number ten” ended up engaging in deviant criminal activities that led to them being shot and killed to death by the Police in a “street shoot-out”. High School “acquaintance number ten” ended up being just another “sad statistic”, like so many other Teenagers today who have chosen to accept the dangerous dares, and repugnant risks of peer pressure, and as a result have, either, lost their precious dreams in life, or have lost their precious life, entirely!
The second biggest problem that faces our Young People today is “The Decline Of Loving, Lasting Relationships”! Without the Knowledge of how to Build Loving, Lasting Relationships within each Family Unit, our Society stands to gain a continual increase in the number of Marriage Separations, and Divorces, which perpetuate the loss of responsible, “Father Figures” in the Home, or Community. As a result, many Young People will continue to find it almost impossible to experience a loving, and lasting “Life Partnership” with another person who is best suited for them because, most Young People have not learned how to love with “Spiritual Love” within their Family Households. Most Young People are being robbed of the privilege of growing up within a loving, and responsible, “two-parent” Family Unit that has learned how to love one another, Unconditionally, with “Spiritual Love”!
The third biggest problem facing our Young People today is “The Loss of Respect For Authority”! When I speak of Authority, I am not referring to an Authoritarian “Dictatorship” Leadership Style, which builds Fear in, and between people! I am referring to an Authoritative “Servanthood” Leadership Style that emphasizes Serving others, which builds Trust in, and between people! No one, for a long period of time, will respect the Authority of a Leader who continues to lead with a destructive, Authoritarian “Dictatorship” Leadership Style. Conversely, every one will, eventually, respect, for a very long time, the Authority of a Leader who continues to lead with a constructive, Authoritative “Servanthood” Leadership Style! Building Trust, is a much more powerful motivator than imputing Fear; because Trust has far more lasting effects than Fear with respect to how people, willingly, choose to cooperate with a person who is a “Giving”, and “Serving” Authoritative Leader!
When children are coerced, from an early age, to not disobey any kinds of rules, which is followed up with “fear tactics” and “harsh criticism”, they will NOT see that they can reward themselves with “staying on the right track”, and therefore they will choose to join the ranks of the disadvantaged in our society. On the other hand, when children are taught, from an early age, the many benefits of obeying positive household standards, they will see that they can reward themselves with “staying on the right track”, which offers them a tremendous advantage in life! When a child learns to appreciate the beneficial and positive household standards set, and adhered to, by loving Authoritative Parents, they will make the choice to aspire to obey those beneficial and positive household standards, not through their unwilling obligation, but through their own willing cooperation. As a child grows through the adolescent stage of their life, they learn, for themselves, that it is personally rewarding when one cooperates with others by aspiring to obey beneficial and positive standards, which will contribute to the continuation of their happy and healthy environment. The children who grow up knowing that they can reward themselves through positive cooperation with “Giving” and “Serving” Authoritative Leaders, invariably, grow in Peace. In fact, Peaceful Youth become full of Courage. while gangsters and gunslingers have NO guts! Let me repeat. Peaceful Youth become full of Courage, while gangsters and gunslingers have NO guts! Let’s take a closer look at why that is.
The three biggest “intellectual needs” that most human beings struggle with “filling” are, at some point in time during our adolescent and adult years of our lives, protection from perceived danger, provision for “physical needs”, and power over oppression. These “intellectual needs” can easily become “unrealistic worries” when we think our “intellectual needs” may not be met, or “filled”. When we, continually, think that our “intellectual needs” of protection from perceived danger, provision for “physical needs”, and power over oppression may not ever be met, or “filled”, we become full of distrust and doubt. However, when we know, somehow and someway through positive, legal and productive ways, that our “intellectual needs” may be met, or “filled” through positive, legal and productive cooperation, we become full of Peace and Courage. When people are offered protection from perceived danger, provision for “physical needs”, and power over oppression through “fear tactics”, those who accept such fearful offers will, eventually, have lots of “worries”, and lots of low self-worth. A person with lots of “worries”, and lots of low self-worth will, continually, attract Violence. All forms of Violence are “rooted” in fear because Violence thrives on “fear tactics”. In contrast, when people are offered protection from perceived danger, provision for “physical needs”, and power over oppression through peaceful “steps of faith”, those who accept such peaceful offers will, eventually, have a healthy sense of self-worth and lots of Courage! In addition, True Protection from perceived danger, and True Provision for “physical needs” involve the True Promise of a safe environment, which is free from oppression. True Power over oppression involves the continual distribution of organized positive knowledge, which is moved consistently through valuable channels toward positive and peaceful outcomes. Gang-recruiters are very dishonest and deceitful as far as protection, provision, and power are concerned. Gang-recruiters promise an environment that is supposed to be safe and free from oppression, but the gang environment is NOT safe, and gang members are constantly oppressed by gang leaders within their own gangs. Gang leaders use the same Authoritarian “Dictatorship” Leadership Style of oppression over gang members, which caused Young People to lose respect for authority in the first place. Gang members, somehow, prefer to be oppressed by deceptive and fearful gang leaders. What’s up with that? Gang leaders offer a bunch of empty promises of protection, provision, and power, but include a heavy distribution of fear-based misinformation through abusive channels toward negative and counterproductive activities that end up breaking those promises, and corrupting the lives of many Young People! Gang members are full of fear, and live in constant fear every day. Criminal activities, drugs and guns are the products and services of gang-business. Violence, self-destruction, prison and death are the pay cheques! When Young People, or any people for that matter, use drugs and guns, or join a gang to sell drugs and guns, they are making a public demonstration of just how much of a compulsive coward they actually are. Gang members are hiding behind violence, guns and criminal activities because, deep down inside they, themselves, have made the choice on their own accord to allow themselves to become cowards that are full of fear. That’s the truth! Can you handle the truth? Over the many years that I have been involved in Ministry Outreach and Ministry Leadership, I have found that Cowards are literally “stuffed” with fear. Cowards have the fear of being rejected. Cowards have the fear of being inadequate. Cowards have the fear of being abused. Cowards have the fear of being exposed. Cowards have the fear of being ridiculed. Cowards have the fear of being caught. Cowards have the fear of being embarrassed. Cowards have the fear of being a failure. Cowards have lots and lots of fears!
I am NOT impressed with how much money gangsters and gunslingers look like they might have. I am NOT impress with what kind of car gangsters and gunslingers look like they might own. I am NOT impressed with how much popularity gangsters and gunslingers look like they might get. I know one thing for sure. I know that, in spite of the money, the car, and the popularity which gangsters and gunslingers look like they might possess, they are, definitely, missing the MOST important attribute for True Success in life. They are missing Courage! I would much rather be seen as a little person of Great Courage, than a big coward with tremendous fear! I would much rather Stand Up for what is Right and be a “True Champion” on the “Winning Team” of Peace and Harmony than bow down to a gang leader and be a big loser on the “losing team” of violence and oppression…….
By the way, oppression, comes through fear-based misinformation-systems, which produce a huge imbalance of wealth and power. Gang leaders, and the “Underground Crime Lords” that control the criminal activities, drugs, gangs and guns, have much more wealth and much more power than the Young People who are getting involved with criminal activities, drugs, gangs and guns. The Young People are the ones, really, who are being oppressed, and becoming fearful and powerless. When any person becomes fearful and powerless, they become hopeless and purposeless in life. When any person become hopeless and purposeless they feel the need to “act out” violent behaviour. However, every person who becomes fearful, powerless, hopeless and purposeless in life has the personal responsibility and personal choice of their own to, either “walk the Right Path”, or “run the wrong road”. They can choose to become a big coward who is full of fear, or they can choose to become a “True Champion” who is full of Courage. There are many examples of people who have been born into adverse situations, or unhappy and unhealthy environments without any source of hope or purpose in life, but they Overcame their adversities, and became “True Champions” in life. Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama are two very good examples of people who “Overcome to Become”!
Nevertheless, cowards choose to turn to Violence. Champions choose to turn to Peace. Violence in our so-called civilized society, becomes the kind of Social Violence which shows up in different oppressive disguises. Social Violence is usually disguised behind the “masks” of racism, anti-semitism, adultism, ageism, sexism, heterosexism, religionism, materialism and recidivism. If a Young Person, or any person for that matter, does NOT learn how to rise above Social Violence and Overcome Oppression through Nonviolent Assertiveness, they will NOT escape the backward re-cycling of “frequent failure” in their life, which perpetuates the destructive “isms” of Social Violence surrounding Oppression. To be able to Overcome Oppression through Nonviolent Assertiveness, and escape the backward re-cycling of “frequent failure” a person MUST become a person who is full of Courage. To become a person who is full of Courage, one MUST replace fear with faith! I did NOT say “Religion” because, anyone can use “Religion” as a “Tool” of Oppression. Cowards can put their faith into a “Religion”, but fear will remain in them if the “Religion” is fear-based, and oppressive. Therefore, the only kinds of “Religions” that people might want to consider investing their faith into are “Religions” that, are NOT Oppressive, and are NOT Exclusive! To each his, or her own.
Oppression and Exclusion, of any kind, drive division and confusion. Division and confusion lead to the destination of Social Violence. However, Young People can become “True Champions” who are full of Courage if, and when Young People choose to join together in Peace in order to walk away and stay away from criminal activities, drugs, gangs and guns. No person can become a “True Champion” in life if they choose to get involved, and stay involved with criminals, drugs, gangs and guns. Today’s prisons will give plenty of gruesome evidence to back up that claim. No pun intended… Without a doubt, it is better to suffer for a short time for doing one thing that is right over and over again, than to end up suffering for the rest of your life for doing one thing that is wrong over and over again! One thing for sure, Young People who are full of Courage will NOT let themselves be used as “slaves” for the “Masters of Crime”. Young People who are full of Courage will NOT let themselves be used as “tools for the troublemakers”!
Now, let’s take a look at a particular Team in the “Old Testament” of the Original Hebrew Bible. In the Book of Exodus, we are told how an evil Political Leader of Ancient Egypt had enslaved a Team of People who, originally, were called Israelite Hebrews of African-Asian-descent. That same Political Leader of Ancient Egypt turned the Team of Israelite Hebrews into slaves for the main purpose of building pyramids. The Israelite Hebrews had their Civil Rights, and their human dignity taken away from them. The Book of Exodus tells us that a man named Moses was called by the “GOD” of the Hebrews in order to set his Israelite Hebrews free from Oppression and Slavery, out of Ancient Egypt Land. As one continues to study the entire Book of Exodus, and the Book of Deuteronomy thoroughly, in depth — one finds a Learning Process that the Israelite Hebrews had to go through in order to get to the Promised Land where their “Salvation” awaited them. The “GOD” of the Hebrews rescued the Israelites out of Ancient Egypt, and allowed them to “wander around in confusion” for forty years in the Wilderness Land. As long as the Israelite Hebrews chose to “wander around in confusion” in the Wilderness Land, they would NEVER have their “Salvation” in the Promised Land. The “GOD” of the Hebrews did NOT make them stay in the Wilderness Land of “confusion”. In fact, the “GOD” of the Hebrews did EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to get them out of the Wilderness Land. However, the Journey from Ancient Egypt Land to the Promised Land that should have only taken, approximately, forty days ended up taking the Israelite Hebrews forty years. They may not have realized, at that time, they were a Team, but they were a Team that consisted of people from different ethnic groups. They may have had “Twelve Tribes”, but they were one Team. Many of the Israelite Hebrews thought, incorrectly, that they were “Saved” just because the “GOD” of the Hebrews had protected them in order to help them get STARTED on their Journey toward the Promised Land, but they had NOT reached the Promised Land of their “Salvation”, and therefore, they were NOT “Saved” as long as they were “confused” in the Wilderness Land. The reason why it took them forty years instead of forty days is because, they were still “stuffed” with a lot of unresolved inner conflicts such as confusion, doubt, rebelliousness and fear which they had “stuffed” inside their “spiritual hearts”. It is very important to understand that, it is virtually impossible for any human being to have their “intellectual needs” of protection, provision, and power met, or “filled” the Right Way from “GOD” as long as they are “stuffed” with unresolved inner conflicts. Moreover, the unresolved inner conflicts of the Israelite Hebrews did not allow them to HEAR the VOICE of the “GOD” of the Hebrews, and therefore the Israelite Hebrews chose to “wander around in confusion” for forty years thinking they were “Saved”, but clearly they were NOT because, they had NOT been “Delivered” from the unresolved inner conflicts, or “demons”, inside their incorrect thinking. It was not until Joshua took the remaining Team Members across the River Jordan, and into the Promised Land that they, actually, got “Saved”! When they went into the Promised Land in Peace, and in Harmony, they finally had gotten their “Salvation”, which included their Wonderful Inheritance!
Many people today, especially Young People, have chosen to “wander around in confusion” thinking that they are “Okay”, or “Saved”, but are NOT! Some may have had some kind of “Sensational” religious experience, which convinced them to stop certain unhealthy things whether on a long term, or short term basis. However, there are people that don’t believe in a “GOD” and have not adhered to any one of the Traditional World Religions, and have stopped certain unhealthy things. There are people that say they believe in a “GOD” and yet they are NOT “Saved” from “wandering around in confusion”. That “confusion” comes from not knowing who one really is in this life, not knowing what one really wants in this life, and not knowing why they are really here in this life. The Team of Israelite Hebrews had that same kind of “confusion”, too, because they had LOST the Revelation Knowledge, from the “GOD” of the Hebrews, of who they really were in this life, what they really wanted in this life, and why they were really here in this life. That lack of Revelation Knowledge kept them “wandering around in confusion” in the Wilderness Land for forty years. When any person does not have the ANSWER for each of these kinds of perplexing questions about life, they are NOT “Saved” from “wandering around in confusion” because, they are NOT “Saved”. When a person has LOST their way to their Promised Land in this life, they “wander around in confusion” because they are LOST! When a person has FOUND their way into their Promised Land in this life, they are FOUND! Whenever a person is continually experiencing propriety, unity and clarity in their life, that person is FOUND! On the other hand, when a person continually struggles with derision, division, and, or confusion in their life, that person is LOST because they have NOT been “Delivered” from “sickly stuffing”. It does not matter how much “worship time” a person has, or how many “good deeds” a person does because, as long as that person is still experiencing derision, division, and, or confusion in their life, that person is still LOST! In fact, one of the worst things you could possibly do to a person who is struggling with unresolved inner conflicts is to, let them think they are, somehow, “Saved” when they are NOT because, they are still struggling with fear, rebelliousness, hatred, doubt, unforgivingness or confusion! Somewhere along the way, a lot of people were told the lie that you can, somehow, be “Saved” by, simply, accepting a certain doctrine, and adhering to a particular religious persuasion regardless of how many unresolved inner conflicts, such as hatred or confusion, a person still has “stuffed” inside themselves. The Bible tells us that “GOD” IS “not the author of confusion”. The Bible says that there is a very Special Person who is the “author and finisher of our faith”. The Bible also says that this Special Person is, really, the ONLY ANSWER for all unresolved inner conflicts such as fear, rebelliousness, hatred, doubt, unforgivingness and confusion!!!
Looking closely at the Bible Stories about the Team of Ancient Israelite Hebrews, one can see more clearly that there were actually three kinds of members on that Team. The first kind of members on that Team, were those who had in their mind to go back to Ancient Egypt Land, and die in “bondage”. The second kind of members on that Team, were those who had in their mind to continue “going in circles” in the Wilderness land, and die in “confusion”. The third kind of members on that Team, were those who had the “heart” of a “True Champion” because they were DETERMINED to get to the Promised Land, and live in “Salvation” with their Inheritance inside the Nation of their Promised Land! Looking at the Bible Stories about the Team of Ancient Israelite Hebrews helps us to see more clearly that they were on the “losing team” in the “Game of Life” as long as they chose to, go back to Ancient Egypt Land’s “bondage”, or stay in the Wilderness Land’s “confusion”. The Ancient Israelite Hebrews did not get on the “Winning Team” in the “Game of Life” until they made the decision to get inside of the Promised through COURAGE AND HARMONY! The reason why their Bible Stories are still so powerful, and relevant today is because, they show us that those who have the “heart” of a “True Champion” will make the One True Championship Team in the True “Kingdom of God”!
I want you all to know, “straight up”, that I’m one of the “Assistant Coaches” in the True “Kingdom of God” World Championship Team who, has also been given the added responsibility of “Talent Scouting”. I’m urgently “Scouting” for people who, really, want a better “deal” than what they’ve decide to settle for thus far. I’m looking for those who believe they’ve got the “heart” of a “True Champion”. I’m looking for those who are looking to be on, and stay on, a “Winning Team” in this “Game of Life”. I’m looking for those who are looking for a way out; a way out of your “contract” with the “losing team” you’ve been on far too long! Some of you, listening to this tape or reading in this book, have been on the “losing team” in this “Game of Life” way too long, and you are sick and tired of losing again, and again and again……. Some of you have, somehow, in someway chosen to “mess up”: You’ve run too many wrong patterns, or you’ve thrown too many interceptions, or you’ve missed too many blocks and tackles, or you’ve dropped the ball too many times, or you’ve cheated yourself by taking illegal substances, or you’ve fallen down way too many times…..and yet, somehow, SOMEHOW DEEP IN YOUR “heart” you KNOW very well, there’s a CHAMPION WITHIN YOU that wants, so much, to get back up just one more time and start WINNING on the “Winning Team” in this “Game of Life”! Truly, there is only One True Championship in this “Game of Life”, and there is only One True Championship Team! Which Team will you be on when this “Game of Life” is over?
Satan, the Devil, has got a “contract” out on some of you, and that “contract” includes a “hidden clause”. You may have not been aware of that “hidden clause” when you first signed that “contract”; and you may have not read the “fine print”, but I’m telling you (those of you who’ve signed that hellish “contract”) that the Devil’s hellish “contract” has a “hidden clause”, which has been secretly written, in order to steal, to destroy, and to kill your young lives! The “OWNER”, and the “Head Coach” of the “Kingdom of God Saint’s” Team have asked me, expressly, to tell you that it’s time, right now, to get out of that hellish “contract”! The Play Book for the “Kingdom of God Saints” Team quotes the Good “Head Coach” as saying, “the thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10a). The Good “Head Coach” is the same Special Person I mentioned earlier who holds the ANSWER to such unresolved “baggage” as confusion, doubt, rebelliousness and fear. I’m letting you know that, the Good “Head Coach” is looking to pick some New Members for the “Kingdom of God” World Championship Team who, have the “heart” of a “True Champion”, and want to advance the Vision, Mission, Objectives and Core Values of the True “Kingdom of God” World Championship Team, daily, for the rest of their lives: New Members who, every day, want to serve “GOD” WHO IS THE “OWNER” of the “Kingdom of God” World Championship Team! The Good “Head Coach”, whose name is Yahshua-Jesus, is the ANSWER. He is the ANSWER to such questions as, who are you, really, in this life, what do you, really, want in this life, and why are you, really, here in this life. He is the ANSWER for getting rid of your “rebellion” and “confusion”. No one else on Earth has ever been able to supply the ANSWER to these perplexing problems, but Him! Yahshua-Jesus can even give you the ANSWER to, how to get out of that hellish “contract” you’re in, with the Devil, in order for you to get off the “losing team”, and on to the “Winning Team” in this “Game of Life”! That’s right. I’m telling you to GET OUT!!! GO AHEAD. Let the Good “Head Coach” Yahshua-Jesus get you out of that hellish “contract” NOW! GET OUT! Go ahead, reach deep inside yourself, right now, and you will find The Champion Within who, will help you open the door of your “heart” and let the Good “Head Coach” come in and get you out of your old bad “contract”, and into a New Good “Contract” with the Greatest, undefeated, World Championship Team on Planet Earth. This is “Good News” for you, TODAY! You may have fallen down in life, but so what? Everyone has fallen down at least once in their lives, but some of us have made the choice to get back up…… Now, GET BACK UP!!! GET BACK UP just one more time, and make your way Up toward the ONLY ANSWER for a “Winning Life”…….COME ON…YES you CAN!!! YES you CAN!!! You can get back Up, You can start “Winning” on the One True Championship Team in this “Game of Life”. It is the ONLY Team that has ever gone undefeated, and will continue to go undefeated, ALWAYS, in this “Game of Life”. Meet the Good “Head Coach” Yahshua-Jesus, today. Make your way Up toward the ONLY ANSWER, NOW! DO IT; DO IT! WHAT ARE you WAITING FOR??? COME ON, you CAN DO IT. Make your way Up to the ONLY ANSWER, right now. You CAN WIN in life! You CAN get yourself out from that “confusion”. You CAN get yourself out of that LOSING “contract” before it’s TOO LATE! You CAN make the right decision! This is the BEST DECISION you’ll ever make in your entire life… Based on my own life experience, I know, personally, that this is, ABSOLUTELY, THE BEST DECISION you’ll EVER MAKE in your entire life! COME ON… KEEP MAKING your WAY UP to the ONLY ANSWER. GET yourself ON THE “WINNING” SIDE OF LIFE, TODAY! For Today, is the Day of Salvation! Reach deep, inside yourself, and find, The Champion Within! COME ON…you CAN let Yahshua-Jesus The Christ Bless You, and Keep you on His “Winning” World Championship Team….. I Praise and Thank YOU, LORD “GOD” for these Young People who have made their decision to get to know the Good “Head Coach” named Yahshua-Jesus who is the ONLY ANSWER for a “Winning Life” on the “Winning Team” in this “Game of Life”! I Thank YOU, LORD “GOD” for their decision to draw, NOW, closer unto YOU, THE CREATOR of the Universe through The Christ of the One True Championship Team…….Praise YOU LORD! If you have, truly, made your way Up toward the Good “Head Coach” and, really, believe that you have the “heart” of a “True Champion” that wants to be on the “Winning Team” in this “Game of Life” for the rest of your life, then, repeat the following prayer, which will get you STARTED on your way………… Please, DEAR LORD, help me to get back Up just one more time. Please, CREATOR “GOD”, lead me away from temptation, and deliver me from all evil. Please, CREATOR “GOD”, show me how I can live my whole life for YOU, LORD. Please, CREATOR “GOD”, tell me what I need to know to “allow” The Christ’s holy, “Spirit” to enter and live in my soul, and add me in to the “Kingdom of God” World Championship Team in His Name. Amen.
If you, really, prayed the preceding prayer with all of your “heart”, then, contact the one Ministry Team that you, really, believe that The Christ’s holy, “Spirit” is moving you to from within your “heart” to speak with, and learn from, concerning your “Joyful Journey” toward your “Deliverance” and “Salvation” in to your Promised Land of True Success and Well-Being in this “Game of Life”. Let us give Thanks to “GOD”, for “GOD’S” MERCY AND DELIVERANCE! Thank “GOD” for your “heart”, and your life.
